Caucus Policy Statements

The US Women’s Caucus at the UN compiles statements on the CSW theme each year.  Often two statements are issued, one on domestic concerns within the United States and another on foreign policy concerns.  The statements outline important aspects of the CSW theme and call on the US government and other bodies to take specific actions.  The Caucus statements help Caucus advocates respond to drafts of the Agreed Conclusions.  The advocates evaluate what is missing in the drafts compared to the Caucus statements.

CSW Statements

Many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) issue statements that address the annual CSW theme.   The statements set forth NGO views of the salient aspects of that year’s theme and appropriate responses.  NGOs use the statements to guide their advocacy as they seek to influence the content of the CSW outcome document, the Agreed Conclusions.
